Either the well was very deep, or she fell very slowly, for she had plenty of time as she went down to look about her and to wonder what was going to happen next… ~ Alice in Wonderland
I know how she felt.
In everything I do – market research, writing, travel or photography – I have learned to look around and wonder. And have found that often, that gives me a good clue about what is going to happen next.
It helps also that I like to wear different hats; if possible, all at the same time. For instance, my training in market research has taught me to observe and include, dig deeper and look for the unsaid. And this serves me when I take on the avtaar of traveler-explorer, and later when I sit down to put these travel stories on paper. I believe that I bring in a more rooted perspective to my travel stories, glimpses of local life and culture that go beyond the been-there, seen-that accounts.
Although writing on places and cultures is my passion, and I would like to believe, my forte, I occasionally write reviews and general features. My articles have so far appeared in several newspapers and magazines in India, and I hope to expand my portfolio considerably in 2009.

Charu I bumped into your blog via your post at clubmahindrablog. And this opened a great new resource for my travels. You have several published stories and I believe several more from the current collection is worth publishing. [I dont know about the publishing industry, but looking at several articles in print, I feel that yours are far better].
Cheers from a fellow travel blogger.
